The Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) program was enacted to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas. We realized the importance of this program to the future of underemployed areas and became a certified HUBZone company in 2002. We continue to honor this commitment and beyond. More than 50% of our employees live in a HUBZone – far exceeding the 35% federal requirement.
The Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is the most widely recognized authoritative guidance that provides service organizations a uniform method for disclosing independently assessed information about the design and operation of internal controls. TDEC successfully completed the rigorous examination of its policies and procedures under the SOC 2 Type 1 standards, demonstrating its high level of assurance and operational visibility.
